The A8 between the Pforzheim South and Pforzheim North junctions is the last bottleneck between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart due to the constricted lanes. The construction measure comprises the six-lane expansion of the A8 over a length of 4.722km.

IBB has been contracted to build two bridges: a flyover structure for the Sallenbuschweg over the A8, a single-span integral arch structure as a composite bridge, and the Enz Bridge over the Enz River, a three-span structure made of prestressed concrete.
